US Military issuing “I” products to it’s soldiers.

The Ipod touch and IPhone are being issued to some soldiers to use as a general purpose hand held. Being very versatile,  developers are currently developing applications that will allow soldiers to access real time video from overhead drones and possibly even control them. Snipers are currently using in Iraq and Afghanistan a ballistics calculator called BulletFlight, made by the Florida firm Knight’s Armament for “I” products. Who ever would of thought that Apple’s products were hardcore enough to use on the battlefield. It makes me wonder if there special units that have been reinforced to handle the bumps and bruises on the way or if they are stock units?
